About Us

Purna Caraka Muda Indonesia (PCMI) was established in 1977 by the alumni of International Youth Exchange Programs (Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara – PPAN), organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia. Activities at the national level are conducted by the national committee in Jakarta, whereas the provincial PCMI is responsible for activities organised in the respective provinces.

PCMI Jawa Barat has been for many years the main partner of the Provincial Government of West Java in organising the selection process of PPAN programs. Nowadays, PPAN programs in West Java are carried out under the auspices of the West Java Office of Youth and Sports.

Apart from actively participating in the selection process of PPAN programs, PCMI Jawa Barat is also engaged in a wide range of international events focusing on youth development, such as ASEAN University Student Conference (AUSC), International Youth Forum (IYF), Asian-African Conference commemoration, Asian-African Youth Forum (AAYF), etc.

PCMI Jawa Barat is currently chaired by Lucky Julian, alumnus of the 2014 Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) 2.0.
