West Java Province will select the best candidates to represent West Java Province in International Youth Exchange Programs. Here are frequently asked questions about PPAN in West Java Province:

Q: What is Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara (PPAN)?
A: Pertukaran Pemuda Antar Negara (PPAN) is an international program that runs by The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs of The Republic of Indonesia.

Q: Does PPAN runs for students only?
A: As mentioned in the title of the program, PPAN is for Indonesian youth around 18-30 years old. It’s not a student exchange program just for students only.

Q: I’m a senior high school student and I’m 18 years old, Can I apply for PPAN?
A: Sorry, you can’t. The requirement for PPAN at least you are graduated from senior high school or equivalent.

Q: How to apply for PPAN in West Java Province?
A: The selection for PPAN in West Java Province divided into 3 phases. The first phase is “Regional Selection” which will be held in 27 kota/ kabupaten all around West Java. Once The Office of Youth and Sports Affairs of West Java Province delivered the decree of PPAN to kota/ kabupaten, the selection method for regional selection is under the policy of its local government. So, the selection process and the deadline for registration in each kota/ kabupaten will be different from each other. The applicants should be more active to visit and ask for the registration to Dispora kota/ kabupaten based on registered ID (KTP). Please bear in mind that there is a limited participant quota in each kota/ kabupaten. The successful applicants from kota/ kabupaten will represent the region in the provincial selection.

Q: When will the registration for PPAN be open?
A: The timeline of the registration for PPAN in each kota/ kabupaten will be different from each other. The participants should be patient, all the details will be informed by PCMI West Java Province.

Q: If I live in Kota Bandung, but my ID was registered in Kabupaten Pangandaran, Can I apply for PPAN in Kota Bandung?
A: Sorry, you can’t. You should apply for PPAN in your respective kota/ kabupaten based on your registered ID even though you are still a citizen of West Java Province.

Q: If I live in Kota Bandung, but my ID was registered in another province, Can I apply for PPAN in Kota Bandung with the certificate of domicile?
A: Sorry, you can’t. You should apply for PPAN in your respective province based on your registered ID.

Q: Does the English proficiency test become the requirement in West Java Province? If yes, how about the score limit?
A: Unfortunately yes, for this year’s selection you are required to submit the proof of English proficiency test along with other documents. Minimum score – IELST: 6, TOEFL ITP: 500, TOEFL iBT: 61.

Q: I already visited Dispora in my respective kota/ kabupaten, but they said that the decree from the province not delivered yet. How I apply for PPAN?
A: Several kota/ kabupaten will run the selection with its local decree, but another not. Once PCMI West Java Province declared that the registration for PPAN is open, it means the decree from the province is deliver to the region. If it is not delivered yet, it may be constrained in the delivery process. The participants should be more active to keep in touch with their respective Dispora kota/ kabupaten.
